Fashion tips you should know before traveling to Italy

I am currently in Rome, Italy attending John Cabot University for study abroad and I did not bring the right clothing. Assuming since it is hot here, one would think dresses, shorts, and sandals. Well you are sadly mistaken, because everyone wheres pants all year round. The only difference from winter to summer is a jacket. I first got here wearing a romper and the stares are endless, trust me, Italians are the best at staring. Especially if you are wearing stuff that shows off your knees, midriff, cleavage, or butt. The first thing I did when I got to Italy was go shopping because I needed pants and fast. The palazzo pant is the pants to own if you are visiting Italy (get them in every color possible).

I looked up Italian fashion before I came here and nothing warned me about pants or the stares. But if they see your knees they automatically know you are a foreigner. If I can do anything to help you on your journey it is proper attire, whatever you do bring non-holey jeans and lots of black. I am making this blog for those who have yet to travel to the beautiful country of Italia.

I agree!!! I attended a convention a couple years ago. 3000+ people attended, there was an even mix of French, Italian and American cultures. The French and Italian were very impeccably dressed. They were dressed with such classy fashions. I’m can’t wait to hear more of ur fashion adventure in Italy.
